Why I became a Realtor in Fairhope, Alabama

Madelyn McMurphy, Fairhope Alabama Realtor I grew up along the Gulf Coast, and if you’ve spent any time here, you understand why it’s hard to imagine living anywhere else. There’s something about the mix of small town charm, water views, and genuine community that gets under your skin in the best way. I’ve always loved this area, and over time, I realized I wanted to help other people find their own piece of it.

Before real estate, I spent over a decade in hospitality. That experience taught me some of the most important lessons I bring to my clients today: how to listen closely, communicate clearly, and make people feel taken care of during a big moment in their lives. Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest decisions someone will make, and I never lost sight of how much that matters.

When I decided to get my real estate license, it felt like a natural next step. I wanted a career where I could combine my love for this community with the service mindset I’d built over years of working directly with people. Now, as an agent with Coldwell Banker Reehl Properties, I get to do exactly that: help buyers find a place to put down roots and help sellers move confidently into their next chapter.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me enjoying the coastal lifestyle, at a music festival, or working on some kind of creative project. I bring that same energy and genuine enthusiasm into my business. If you’re thinking about buying or selling in Fairhope, Daphne, or anywhere along the Eastern Shore, I’d love to help.
